I was involved in the field testing of a different brand, but in the testing of Titan CET, it became evident that Titan Technologies would save a lot of time in moving excavators on-site.
We purchased the first Titan CET in 2018 for use on excavators up to 200 ton and the second in 2019. Using the Titan CET systems brought considerable savings to the overall production cost in time saved by shorter disruption times to move excavators out of the operation site for blasting or service and maintenance.
The following reasons convinced me to settle for the Titan CET systems as opposed to other options that were available in the marketplace.
The units were used on a coal mining operation Mokomo Recourses in Zimbabwe
The distance between the pits was costly on the machines, from wear and tear on the tracks, components, and hydraulic systems, which would overheat and fail catastrophically at the worst of times.
We used the Titan CET transport systems to move our Liebherr 9150’s, Hitachi 2500’s and Komatsu PC 2000’s.
The brake system on the units is world-class. It can stop the excavator’s complete assembly on top of the bogeys and the tow truck. In the case of the mine in Zimbabwe, a CAT 785D was brought to a safe and quick stop, even on gradients of up to 9 deg.
The Titan CET is highly reliable and cheap to maintain. During my time when we used these units, we had failures like tyres due to punctures and cuts and minor oil leaks due to hoses being damaged during use caused by the negligence of the operators.
I have included a simple cost calculator which will calculate the possible cost which can be saved when the system is used properly.
The main cost-saving drive is always the time saved when moving an excavator. It also has other cost implications when the undercarriage’s wear and tear are considered.
With the machine travelling, it also burns a lot of fuel. All this adds up, and in the end, it causes a cost implication on the life of the components, such as the engine and hydraulics, not to mention the time it takes to repair the machines’ undercarriage.

I highly recommend and suggest using these units in your operation as they will pay for themselves within a short time, depending on the frequency of movement of excavators.
